Default GS724T not found during Smart Wizard Discovery

I can't figure this out. I restored the switch to the factory defaults, etc. I gave it an IP address and can get to the management web page with no problems. I want to do a firmware update since the switch doesn't seem to accept special characters in the password field.

Anyway, when I use the discovery wizard it doesn't find the switch, however, if I plug the cable in another switch (on the same subnet) it finds it right away.

Are there any tips for this type of thing? Can I upgrade the firmware in a different manner?
